DNA Testing and genealogical research has been exploding in popularity. People are more interested than ever in learning more about their biological roots, tracing their family trees, learning more about their ancestry, and obtaining genetic information about their health.

If your biological family is something that has been unknown to you, or if you have not been in touch for many years and are eager to get some answers and make contact, we are here to assist you.

Admittedly, genealogical research can sometimes prove to be a long, tedious, and fruitless venture. Perhaps you do not know where or how to start, or maybe you have already begun, but have become frustrated, confused, feel like giving up, or just don’t have the time available for such a laborious undertaking.

Full Circle Genealogy is here to work with you to get to put together the pieces of your puzzle, and discover your truth.

As humans, we have an innate need to know who we are, where we come from, an instinctual longing to know how we came into being. This salient information helps each of us to better understand our identity and place in the world. The truth about our origins often serves to empower us, provide us with a sense of belonging, and help us make sense of things about ourselves and our lives.

Modern psychology attributes both nature (genetics and hereditary factors) and nurture (experiences and environmental factors) as vital influences in our lives. Understanding the importance of this fact demonstrates the need for people to know their biological roots.

Testimonials

“I never imagined that I would find my biological father (as I had been unsuccessful in the past), but thanks to your extensive and diligent research, I have! Learning more about my biological family and my ancestry has led me to understand so much more about myself. You have done a truly remarkable job, thank you!” - Phil S

“This was an absolutely incredible job of finding the other half of my birth family that I didn’t know existed.  They did not have a lot to start with, but turned over every stone and used every avenue and creative resource they could to provide me with a wealth of research and information about that part of my family.  I would not have believed it was possible had I not seen and read what they provided.  Excellent Job!” - David B

The People We Help

It may be that you have always somehow felt different from your family or environment?

You may have always felt that you were different in some way, but were not able to identify why. It’s possible that you were also suspicious that things about you just didn’t add up.  Along with the proliferation of consumer DNA tests now being performed (such as through Ancestry.com, 23andMe, and MyHeritage), has been the phenomenon of a number of people getting the shock of a lifetime. DNA test results may reveal a NPE (Non-Paternity Event/ Not Parent Expected), sometimes referred to as a MPE (Misattributed Parentage Experience); other unknown close family members may also be revealed. Secrecy around genetic origins was more common in the past. It may be that you have a different father from the one you have known or were told. Some people were fathered by anonymous sperm donors, while others were the result of secret pregnancies, affairs, adoptions, and other scenarios. Renowned psychiatrist and psychotherapist, Carl Jung, described secrets as “psychic poison;” they have the potential to hurt a lot of people.

Fortunately, unlike in times past, parents are now advised by psychologists to tell their children, from a young age, the truth about their biological roots.  Moreover, with consumer DNA tests and Internet sources, it is no longer possible to keep this kind of secret. It’s not a matter of IF this information will be uncovered, only WHEN.

For some, learning about their biology and ancestral roots provides insights into their own identity. In addition, finding out about familial health information can prove to be invaluable.

As genealogical researchers, we will use our skills, experience, and enthusiasm to partner with you in your unique search for answers and connection.
